Welcome to new members

Postby KCOptom on Mon Apr 28, 2008 3:51 pm

Hi there!

Just starting this forum off by welcoming all new guests - especially our first one, Gerard Ahee!

Hopefully here you can talk about and discuss keratoconus, whether it be yourself that is affected or one of your family.

I am a UK optometrist that specialises in keratoconus contact lens fittings and can answer your questions and queries. As I am familiar with other support group websites, I volunteered to start this site off.

However, this is essentially a support group for keratoconics to talk to each other!

Hi Gerard,

Welcome to Marsha! Its great to know you actually can see well enough to get on here!

Yes Gerard, I am mad busy preparing for South Africa and once there, I am hoping to get this keratoconus study started off. It will take a time because we need to get it academically recognised and properly organised.

Perhaps I can get a self help group organised over there as well and you can all exchange notes!

I did mean to sort some posters out for you - just not had time. I will send you the art work anyway for the logo, so you can use it.
